What should I wear?
Bathing suits and a cover up. Please do not wear high heels or black sole tennis shoes. Flip flops are great and water shoes are always recommended.

Reef-safe Sunscreen (non-aerosol), a hat, some sunglasses, a towel, and your GoPro if you have one.
Are Food & Drinks included?
She's your "Captain-Only" bareboat charter -- you're free to bring as much food, drink and ice with you as you like. We provide a galley with refrigerator, freezer, and stove that's at your disposal, along with a cooler for your ice. If you're coming by taxi, you can stock up that morning at Moe's Supermarket. It's only a 2-minute walk, and has a nice deli section, beer, wine & ice.
Do I need to bring my own snorkel gear?
You're welcome to bring your own gear but we do provide enough equipment for everyone. We have only top of the line gear for our guests, including Kapitol Reef snorkels and ScubaMax face masks.
Do you provide snorkel vests?
Yes, we have snorkel vests to wear if you choose.
Do we have to help with the sails?
No, we will do all the work for you. If you wish to learn how the sails work and/or want to help we will show you how you can help. From time to time we may ask for help if weather demands but you are there to relax and we prefer that is what you do.
Do you have a bathroom onboard?
Yes, we have a marine "head" on board.
Is there a place I can change my clothes?
Yes, but remember this is a boat and spaces are smaller than you are used to.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is not permitted aboard MAHALA for safety concerns and insurance regulations.
How many people can MAHALA hold?
We keep groups to no larger than six. We want to offer proper hospitality to each guest while ensuring safety.
What happens if the weather is not cooperating?
Though it doesn't often happen, mother nature is still in charge. If the weather is not good enough to set sail we will refund you 100% or reschedule on another day at your request.

She's a classic 44' Irwin Staysail Ketch, two masts, four sails, and a sea-kindly hull. Spacious cockpit and deck above, with a galley, dining and berthing below.

MAHALA is your private sailboat for the day! Your Captain knows the reefs and waters, and can happily offer suggestions based on your preferences, weather, and time available. You pick the course. We take you there!
Is Gratuity Included?
Gratuity is a decision best left to the guest. If you enjoyed your day and feel it was earned, then kindly let your crew know. It's customary to offer 20% of your total tour cost as gratuity.
